JOB DETAILS:
• MKP Farms Limited is a Company Limited by Shares and has a mandate of production and market various horticultural produce within Zambia and beyond its borders. Its main objective is to produce, process and market quality crop at prices that are low enough to meet all production, marketing and management costs.
We are hiring a dedicated self-driven production Agronomist

• Duties And Responsibilities
Provide capacity building and awareness through trainings to the field officers and the community farmers.
Develop Horticulture training manuals and crop production guides for the community beneficiaries
Provide general extension services and agronomical support to the horticulture farmers
Promote quality control and value chains development
Aggregate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as per required
Execute any other duties as assigned by the Project manager/CEO
Monitor crop growth
Implement quality and quantity standards
Coordinate pest and disease surveillance, weed control and infield slashing
Arrange and coordinates land preparation for proper crop rotation

• Minimum Qualifications And Experience
School Certificate or its equivalent
Diploma in Agriculture/crop Science or other agriculture discipline
Minimum of 2 years work experience in Horticultural dynamics
Computer literacy in MS word and Excel
Degree in Agriculture will be an added advantage
Strength in Agronomy and Agri-business planning/ management will be added advantage

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
