JOB DETAILS:
The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
• Ensures payment schedules are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority before payments;
• Ensures sending Remittance Advices to supplier after completion of the Payment Run;
• Manages payments documentation for future reference/audit review;
• Processes vendor payments in accordance with the cash allocation/forecast;
• Manages vendor payment runs at intervals as agreed with accounts payable;
• Monitors and ensures that all payments raised are processed and paid within acceptable timelines;
• Reconciles and manually re-compute, on a monthly basis, interest earned on cash balances held in each interest earning account;
• Minimizes bank charges and exposure to exchange losses;
• Manages all online payment solutions with Banks;
• Maintains a summary of all loans and financial charges as at the close of each reporting period, including applicable restrictions/financial covenants;
• Performs General Ledger balance sheet reconciliation for all accounts relating to loans/financial charges;
• Oversees daily Bank/Cash reconciliations;
• Attends to and resolve all internal and external customer queries or escalate unresolved queries in line with set guidelines;
• Ensures attendance to all internal and external audit requirements related to the Accounts Payable Function;
• Ensures timely resolution of Supplier returned funds;
• Maintains an accurate electronic database of all supplier Bank details;
• Manages Letters of Credit applications and tracking.

Candidate Requirements
• Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
• Degree in accounting, Business/Commerce, or equivalent field;
• Minimum of three (3) years cash management experience;
• At least two (2) years practical working experience in a finance environment in a multinational organization;
• Experience in working with enterprise financial system;
• Experience in telecommunications industry advantageous.
