About the role:
The Area Manager will oversee retail operations across multiple store locations, driving the achievement of sales targets, operational excellence, and a high level of customer service. This individual will lead and motivate store teams, ensure adherence to company policies, and maintain a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience. The Area Manager will collaborate with store leaders and senior management to implement business strategies and maintain operational consistency across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth by analyzing store performance and developing action plans.
- Implement effective sales strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Monitor the achievement of targets and KPIs, ensuring stores are meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Ensure efficient store operations by overseeing staffing, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with operational standards and company policies.
- Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead, motivate, and develop store managers and their teams, fostering a positive and productive environment.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure staff are achieving their personal and professional goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans to improve individual and team performance.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service across all stores, ensuring that the customer experience aligns with company values.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provide regular performance reports to senior management, including sales data, operational metrics, and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements across all store locations.
- Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and retail standards.
- Collaborate with senior management on the development of business strategies and initiatives for the region.
- Drive the implementation of promotional and marketing campaigns to boost store visibility and performance.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management or a similar role, with a proven track record in leading multi-location teams.
- Experience in driving sales, managing budgets, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple stores.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor performance and drive decision-making.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Compensation :
The incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
