Job Description
• Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia works with the world’s most cherished trademark and invests in the most exciting events. Our Office currently has the following opportunity available for a dynamic individual with energy and initiative, keen to impact from the outset.
• This position falls under the Commercial Department – General Trade (GT) and will report to the Regional Sales Manager. The main responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager are to maximize allocation of resources in the area, manage and measure sales targets daily and takes corrective action with the team. Furthermore, the Area Sales Manager will be required to build personal relationships with customers through various interactions such as charity sports days, customer conference participation, corporate golf days, host at local and international conferences and sporting occasions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Coaching and Leading
• Sales and Marketing share growth
• Outlet Development and Quality Management
• Maximizes allocation of resources in area (e.g. POS, Coolers)
• Report promotional deviances with Store Owners / managers
• Trade and Outlet Execution and Monitoring competitive activitie
• Negotiates permanent, promotional and ad hoc space with customer.
• Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action
• Implement promotional plans and execution of Promotional Compliance
• Executes quarterly (or as per agreement) business reviews by customer.
• Identifies competitor activities and develops and implements response tactics
• Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action with team
• Quality Management: Ensure compliance to Quality Standards and Manage Trade Replacements.
• Merchandising: Ensure the execution and Implementation of Picture of Success by channel is being done by the Account Developer;
• Implement stock rotation
• Execute dealer merchandising training
• Order Generation: Sell in Core packs as per Picture of Success
• Orders calculated and captured
• Achieve Sales Targets
• Manage New Product Listings
• Attends frequent trade visits to customer stores with relevant regional personnel
• Understand pack margin and pack role per customer in order to optimize revenue growth.
• Allocates execution resources (e.g. POS / coolers / promotional material etc.) for maximum return
• Partner with Account Developers and customers to develop and execute a customer specific business plan.
• Utilize market research and analysis such as Nielsen, loyalty data etc. to formulate programs and feedback to customer.
• Customer Relationships: Supports the front-line staff in building strong relationships with each customer by Identifying business growth opportunities – (master of execution and brings a different perspective to identify opportunities sales staff may have missed
• Develop, implement and/or manage account specific programs, promotions and packs as required and evaluation.
• Promotions – ensures local and national promotions are implemented effectively and feedback is provided.
• Builds personal relationships with customers through various interactions such as charity sports days, customer conference participation, corporate golf days, host at local and international conferences and sporting occasions.

Skills, Experience & Education
• Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 credits.
• Degree in Marketing or equivalent
• Able to drive a Manual Vehicle
• Valid none restrictive driver’s license
• Innovative and a Self-starter.
• Ideally a minimum of 3 years previous sales experience or equivalent FMCG
• Excellent planning, organizing, communication, presentation & judgment skills
• Must be able to think on their feet and have swift resolution periods of 24hours – 48hours
• Must be structured and be able to plan quarterly in advance to meet the annual targets
