Purpose of the Role:
Carry out day to day electrical maintenance, repairs and installations within the appointed Electrical section on Overhead line networks to maximize efficient and safe production

Key Responsibilities:
• Installation of new electrical Overhead Line Systems and replacement of old, faulty or damaged systems as per instructions given and to company and vendor’s safety and quality standards.
• Effective installation of new Electrical Overhead Line systems with minimal disruption to the processing plant operation ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
• Ensure Electrical Safety at all times to conform to safety requirements for the associated equipment.
• Ensure and maintain all Overhead Line electric networks in order to have the correct specifications and safety operational parameters for effective and safe functionality.
• Maintain efficiency within planned maintenance schedules and activities to ensure minimum disruption to process plant operation.
• Ensure that all safety log books are signed and lock out procedures followed according to procedures.
• Ensure employee Personal Protective Equipment and tools are maintained according to procedure.
• Oversee and maintain to the strictest safety standards, the condition of all electrical test and safety equipment and maintenance of issued electrical tools.
• Ensure that daily activities of the electrical department are adhered to in terms of the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor to provide a full range of Electrical Services to production and management teams
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings

Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of a certified Linesman from a certified institution
• Training and experience in OHL Network and systems up to 33KV
• Have detailed knowledge and understanding of construction of OHL
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an OHL Linesman up to 33kV, with 2 of those years in a Mining or Mineral Processing Plant.
