JOB DETAILS:
A vacancy has arisen in the Finance Department at the Zambia Catholic University for the position of Assistant Accountant.
Interested individuals who possess the required qualifications are invited to submit applications.

Job purpose
The assistant Accountant performs a wide range of accounting duties delegated by the Finance Administrator to fulfill accounting obligations.

Main duties
• Maintain a specified amount of petty cash
• Receipt bank deposits for payment from clients
• Make postings into the accounting system all receipts
• Receipt reconciliation from the cash book to the bank statement
• Maintain student payment register
• Make follow-ups on student debtors
• Perform other duties of an accounting nature.

Qualifications, experience, and skills
• Grade 12 level of education
• Degree in Accountancy/Finance or ACCA Level 2
• Membership of ZICA/ACCA or similar professional body
• At least 3 years working experience in a similar role
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Honesty and integrity
• Good communication skill
• Practicing Christian.
