Assistant Accountant
A renowned private school in Lusaka seeks the services of an Assistant Accountant candidate with various prerequisite qualifications and skills that typically include:
Qualifications,
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Work experience as an Accounting Assistant
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with finance regulations
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel, Ms Access , Dove Payroll and other accounting software
• Organization skills
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• Registered member of ZICA

Requirements and skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mathematical skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles
• Ability to work as a part of a team
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Collection and banking of revenue in order to enhance safety of institutional funds
• Proficiency with accounting software,
• Updating and reconciling financial ledgers
• Carry out compilation of payment vouchers
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets for the company
• Preparing financial documents such as purchase orders and bank statements
• Verifying company expenses, bank deposits and bank payments
• Complying with financial laws and regulations alongside in-house policies
• Draft accounts reports to facilitate decision making
• Maintain books of accounts
• Follow adherence to client school fees payment plans
