ASSISTANT ACCREDITATION & EXAMINATIONS OFFICER
The Council of the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE) is looking for a suitably qualified experienced and result oriented person to fill the position of Assistant Accreditation & Examinations Officer.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Accreditation & Examinations Officer the Assistant Accreditation & Examinations Officer will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of the Institute's examinations in order to facilitate the smooth conduct of examinations, and to manage the capture, storage and processing of data and the production of associated reports and analyses relating to student performance in support of ZIALE's aim to raise academic results. .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists with the registration of candidates for all ZIALE examinations
• Assists with the co-ordination of invigilators and the invigilation process on an ongoing basis, remains on-site at all times for the duration of examinations.
• Provides input to the budget for the Accreditation and Examinations Unit.
• Maintains an adequate stock of examination materials
• Assists in maintaining examination data on the Students' Management System and undertakes data validation activities in order to ensure accuracy of data
• Assists in setting up and maintaining historical data relating to examination entries and results on the Students' Management System
• Assists with compilation and processing of examination results in order to ensure the timely release of the same
• Assists with the preparation, issuance of student transcripts, examination slips and certificates in line with examination policies and procedures
• Attends to any other duties as directed.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
• Good communication skills, Computer literate in MS Applications
• Ability to conduct research
• Interpretation of complex and highly technical data, Numerical and computation skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to stand for long hours during examination periods.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 with 5 "O" levels including English and Mathematics
• Bachelor of Arts in Education or any related Social Science
• Knowledge of Computer Applications and/or Student Management Software
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience.
