JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
To undertake audits in order to help the University to accomplish its objectives and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance processes.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Prepares individual work plan in order to have organized work flow of activities and output to track individual performance.
• Undertakes system reviews relating to academic, financial and administrative functions of the University for compliance and to give audit assurance.
• Assists in making follow ups on all audit recommendations for resolution and compliance.
• Undertakes the performance of special audits in order to give audit assurance.
• Assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports in order to support informed decision making.
• Assists in the preparation of annual budget for Internal Audit unit in order to meet the set objectives.
• Manages effectively human resources in order to achieve the objectives.

Qualifications And Personal Attributes
• Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with at least 5 Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Internal Auditing.
• Aminimum of two years post qualification experience in internal auditing in a reputable institution.
• Must be computer literate.
• Professional conduct in compliance with the code of ethics for Internal Auditors is a mandatory requirement.
• Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) or Institute of Internal Auditors
