Assistant Manager – Technical Services
Overview
Are you a versatile individual with experience in the IT industry, then this position is for you. Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Manager who is interested in helping to hire and train other team members. You will also assist in making sure the team adheres to company policies, resolving customer complaints, leading the team, and organizing the team schedule. To be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history and previous experience as a senior staff member or as an assistant manager. A passion for customer service and team mentoring is also a plus.

Job description
• Responsible for managing the technical functions in coordination with Head – Technical services of the company in relation to its business activities both current and future
• Responsible for identifying, analyzing, measuring and managing project risks
• Responsible for change management, service request and incident management
• Manage the technical team within the technical services operations
• Manage and enforce IT policies as well as manage the Business continuity plan and disaster recovery
• Provide training and mentorship to the technical members of the company
• Recruit team members and provide them with the necessary training to deliver the expectations of the technical department
• Ensure company commitments to the customer are achieved from technical compliance and SLA perspective
• Manage relationships with trade suppliers both locally and internationally.

Candidate Specification
• Experience: 7 years plus
• Education Level: Degree
• Qualifications: Computer science, Information Technology or related
• Software: Microsoft, VMware and Hyper-V virtualization. Having a VMware VCP certification
• Equipment: Firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and other job related equipment
• Knowledge Of: Storage systems and understanding security compliance
• Skills To: WAN/LAN deployments
• Ability To: Installation, and configuration of Windows servers and server roles
