JOB DETAILS:
This is a call for board of governance members open to Zambian and African nationalities to serve as board members with iSanitize for five (5) years beginning 1st January 2020.
Background
iSanitize is a local development Non-Governmental Organization registered under the Non- Governmental Organisations Act, 2009 (Act No. 16 of 2009).
Mission
Our mission is to facilitate, promote, advocate, educate and build capacities for young people and schools in rural and peri-urban communities, with emphasis on women and girls, to practice good hygiene and gain access to sustainable hygiene and sanitation information, facilities and tools for good health and poverty alleviation. .

Job Responsibilities:
1. To empower girls and women to practice good hygiene and access decent sanitation in rural and peri- urban schools and communities.
2. To educate girls on menstrual hygiene and sanitation while empowering them to access free re-usable and disposable menstrual sanitary wear.
3. To advocate for good hygiene and sanitation for all young people in Zambia.
4. To contribute to knowledge sharing, growth and application of innovative and creative hygiene and sanitation best practices among young people and women.
5. To facilitate and advocate for policy change and enhancement of hygiene and sanitation policies for women and young people.
6. To partner with like-minded organizations in pursuit of iSanitize mission and mandate.
7. To support the national strategy of government towards tackling access to safe water and sanitation for all.
8. To work towards transfer skills and employment creation in impactful hygiene and sanitation solutions, thereby contributing to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; 1 - No poverty, 3 - Good health and well-being, 4 - Quality education, 6- Clean water and sanitation and 17-Partnerships to achieve the goal.
