JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager shall be responsible for generating business leads and converting them to sales for these products. Focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business. Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions within the group. Interact with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. The Business Development Executive will also be required to find new sales leads through client referrals, personal engagements at business and social gatherings.
Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Create and develop new innovative ways to communicate the company message to existing and new customers.
• Play an integral role in business pitches for Data Center portfolios, Colocation, IaaS & SaaS.
• Make frequent physical sales and marketing visits
• Effectively utilize company resources including inventory and advertising in a bid to find new customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to customers, provide information on the benefits and uses of a variety of accessories, answer customer questions and convince them to purchase the products being demonstrated.
• Develop a strategic approach to account management and customer relationships
• Construct and implement profitable long-term ICT account plans
• Gain a better understanding of your client’s needs and expectations
• Enhance the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with key decision-makers
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on ICT pricing, products, new products and delivery schedules.
• Recommends changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Work closely with the ICT Marketing Manager in the formulation of short and long term marketing strategies
• Attend ICT Trade Shows, Expos and Exhibitions
Required Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of IT hardware

• Technical abilities, PC and internet literacy
• Willing to work outside prescribed working hours
Qualifications and Experience
• MBA/Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing and Information Technology
• Must have at least 2-3 years’ progressive experience in Sales and Marketing of ICT products and services
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Good understanding of the ICT Industry
• MUST have a drive for sales and business development of Data Center products and services
• Display an attitude that is key to success;
