Call for proposals: External Evaluator for PEAS Zambia Evaluation Study at Promoting Equality in African School Zambia Limited

PEAS Zambia is seeking a qualified consultant or team of consultants to conduct an evaluation of the “Educating the Girls of Today, Empowering the Women of Tomorrow” project, funded by the Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust Centenary Awards. This study represents the final step in assessing the impact and effectiveness of PEAS’ approach in improving education provision, particularly for girls, across its schools in Zambia.

Key Objectives:

  1. Assess the impact of the project on students, especially girls, and their communities
  2. Evaluate the effectiveness of PEAS’ model in comparison to other secondary education providers
  3. Identify key lessons to inform PEAS’ future programming and influence education policy in Zambia

Scope of Work:

  1. The consultant will lead the research design, data analysis, and co-authoring of the final evaluation report. The evaluation will employ a mixed-method approach, including:
  2. Desk review of PEAS internal data and Ministry of Education reports
  3. Surveys with school leaders and students
  4. Qualitative data collection through Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)
