JOB DETAILS:
The job is to gather news and write stories for publication in the newspaper
Key Responsibility:
• To gather and write news, and feature articles
• To edit and submit workable diary to the editor
• Ensure execution of desk dairy and assign reporters for scheduled assignments Source at least reasonable regional stories daily
• Control use of the resources on the desk
• To analyzing statements as well as research work in the distribution of news and other information
• To maintain a diary of forthcoming news worthy events
• To supervise reporters
• Attend the dairy meetings every morning
• To perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the desk editor

Knowledge, Skills and Related Competencies
• Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits (including English)
• Diploma / Degree in Journalism/ Mass Communication
• At least 3 years of experience and above
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Knowledge of production process
• Abreast with current affairs
