Job Description
• The CTO makes all executive decisions with regards to the telecommunications infrastructure and technological interests of INFRATEL. They are responsible for outlining INFRATEL’s technological vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the INFRATEL’s business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering or Equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering
• Member of EIZ with valid ERB license
Key Competencies and Skills
• Proven record of strategicplanning of network expansion, maintenance and operation with highavailability.
• Experience of dealing withnational regulators.
• Experience of dealing with bigcontracts.
• Has extensive technical knowledgein telecommunication systems design, implementation and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of Mobile operatorsand Internet Service Providers’ telecommunications solution needs.
• Applies broader knowledge ofstandards to work assignments.
• Critical understanding of thecurrent telecommunication trends and future solutions.
• Deep appreciation of DWDMtechnology
• Extensive understanding of opticalfibre technology and all underpinning fundamentals and good practices.
• Fully proficient with PowerInfrastructure Management systems
• Excellent team management skills.
• Strength in development ofsubordinates and advancement of teamwork.
• Strength in quality ensuring highavailability of telecom systems.
• Strength in formulation andenforcing policies and standards.
• Strength in driving company goalsdownwards and ensuring high service delivery trends.
• Excellent Project Managementskills
• Excellent Communication skills
• High leadership qualities thatmotivate staff.
• Shows excellent work planning fordepartment and operations;
• Able to budget and adhere toagreed budget lines;
• Offer technical advice to the CEO;

Years of Experience Required
• Minimum of 8 years senior technical management experience in the telecommunication industry and expertise in running technical departments, building telecommunication infrastructure.
