JOB DETAILS:
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct precise measurements and surveys of construction sites using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser levels.
• Create detailed topographic maps and layouts of the construction area.
• Analyze survey data to identify potential challenges and inform project planning.
• Establish property boundaries and land ownership to ensure compliance with zoning regulations and property laws.
• Mark boundary lines and set property corner markers.
• Work with engineers and architects to translate design plans and blueprints into physical layouts on the construction site.
• Set benchmarks, reference points, and control lines for accurate construction positioning.
• Ensure that buildings, roads, utilities, and other structures are constructed in the correct locations and elevations.
• Monitor construction work to verify that it aligns with design specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and measurements to confirm the accuracy of construction work.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and property laws.
• Prepare survey reports and legal documents for property records and construction permits.
• Maintain detailed records of survey data, measurements, and project documentation.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data processing and mapping.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to provide surveying support.
• Communicate survey findings and recommendations to project teams.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks associated with surveying work on construction sites.
• Ensure that construction sites are safe for surveying activities.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional licensure or certification as a Land Surveyor (requirements vary by location).
• Proficiency in surveying equipment and software.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in measurements.
• Knowledge of construction practices, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Physical fitness for outdoor work and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
