JOB DETAILS:
Content Writer – Smallholder Dairy Farming
Overview

The Zambia Dairy Transformation Programme (ZDTP) has been working with smallholder and emergent dairy farmers in Copperbelt and Central Provinces since 2017. As part of its work the programme has been producing a monthly newsletter in English to share progress made by farmers and dairy cooperatives as well as advice to support other farmers to achieve the same results. Copies of these publications are available at www.zambiadairy.com.
From January 2022 the programme will be increasing its communication efforts and producing quarterly newsletters in Tonga, Bemba and Nyanja. We are therefore looking to develop a list of content writers who can provide articles in one or more of these three languages.
It is anticipated that the Content Writer(s) will produce 3-5 articles every 3 months (i.e. for each edition of the quarterly newsletter). Articles are short, around 300 – 500 words.
The ZDTP team will provide guidance and ideas for articles as well as supporting materials such as fact sheets and videos which can be used as a basis for an article.
The Content Writer(s) will be paid appropriately, either per article, or per edition of the newsletter.

Applicant Requirements:
• Previous experience of producing original articles in at least one of: Tonga, Bemba and Nyanja;
• An understanding of and interest in smallholder farming and ideally the dairy sector in Zambia;
