Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) is one of the largest copper producers in Zambia. It operates underground and open pit mines as well as metallurgical plants with operations located at Nchanga, Konkola, Nkana and Nampundwe. KCM's operations include a state-of-the-art smelter, open pit and underground mines and a refinery. KCM's vision is to leverage minerals and human resources to enhance stakeholder value and Zambia's pride. To support this vision KCM runs an expansive corporate social responsibility under pinned on four (4) pillars - Education, Health, Sport and Sustainable Livelihoods. Under education, KCM runs the Kitwe Trade School which offers artisanal courses to brigde the skills gap in the mining industry.
Kitwe Trades School invites applications from eligible persons to undertake training in the following fields on a self sponsored basis commencing in January 2020:

1. Automotive Electrical
2. Electrical
3. Heavy Equipment Repair
4. Mechanical Fitting 5. Machining
6. Metal Fabrication
7. Process Instrumentation
8. Rigging
