JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a Crusher Application Specialist, to join our LCS Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining active long-term relationships with key decision makers at customer site levels and continuously promote Metso’s value adding offering. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating a healthy business with high customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will report to the LCS Regional Contracts Manager.
This position is mainly located in Kalumbila, Zambia.

TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join the LCS Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as all functions in Africa market area in customer relations, co-operating with business units, business lines and product lines
and sales and site account managers

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• The Specialist shall provide operational support, technical oversight, inspection and maintenance services to the Company. The Specialist’s role shall be supporting the operation and maintenance of the crushing circuit at Site, which includes:

• Providing training for operators, teaching best practices to achieve production targets and preserving the integrity of the Equipment
• Developing work procedures and operational routines to implement best practices and correct deviation
• Providing technical oversight while guiding on Site crusher operation; and
• Developing technical documentation including production reports, daily shift records, and control system trends
• The Specialist shall train the Company’s workforce in the main aspects to be considered on a crusher circuit. A training plan shall cober the operation and maintenance aspects below:
• Main aspects on cone crusher circuit process
• Basic concepts such as crushability, abrasiveness and work index
• Main safety, health risk and precautions to be considered while working in a crushing circuit
• Cone Crushers characteristics
• Crusher work limits i.e. power, volume, and force
• F80 and P80 definition
• Close side setting definition
• Crusher manual and automatic calibration
• MP1250, MP2500 and Primary Crushers main aspects for an optimum operation
• MP1250, MP2500 and Primary Crushers Troubleshooting diagnosis procedure
• Cone crusher wears parts considerations (wear pattern, wear parts performance tracking and comparison
• The Specialist shall conduct classroom training for Company’s personnel. Theoretical training shall be imparted every week and tests administered to the Company’s operators after each session of training
• The Specialist shall facilitate on-field training of the Company’s operators to review the points to check on the Equipment and how to get the maximum output from the Equipment

DEVELOPMENT OF WORK PRACTICES
• The following work procedures shall be developed by the Specialist in conjunction with the Company’s Key Personnel (or their delegates) to ensure best practice:
• Crusher Pre-start i.e. oil conditions, bind level, feeder speed
• Effective crusher calibration i.e. metal to metal, with gauge and manual
• Inspection routine of crusher sensors i.e. vibration sensors, hydraulic pressure sensors, speed sensors
• Crusher control records such as how to extract a daily report from the crusher control system
• Crusher maintenance administration and system
• Crusher overhaul procedure


TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT
• The Specialist shall provide the following technical oversights:
• Monitoring crusher performance and recommending corrective action for recurrent problems based in previous experiences
• Reporting to factory any problem related with the design of the machine or application and implement solutions recommended from factory
• Providing insight troubleshooting expertise, implementing solutions by involving the Specialist’s global group of experts

DOCUMENTS AND REPORTS
• The Specialist shall assist with the development and accountability of:

• Daily reports of the crusher performance including productivity, availability, and any aspect that my affect the accomplishment of the daily targets
• Tracking of crusher wear parts including the life, product quality and effectiveness of the crusher chambers
• Evaluation of crusher operators and giving recommendation to the area coordinator that may assist in the development of the operator’s skills and expertise

Requirements & Competences
• Safety mindset
• Experience of operating and maintaining Crusher Equipment on site
• Good people management skills
• Position require appointee to be based and operational on site

Who You Are
• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical qualification
• Process or technical qualification (preferred)
• Relevant Mining industry knowledge
• Maintenance planning and scheduling
• Planning and organising risk management

• Mineral processing experience – dry circuit and wet would be beneficial
• Strong analytical skills
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines
• Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and (organizing, prioritizing tasks and working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills,
• Strong management and communication skills, team building skills, drive and performance orientation
