JOB DETAILS:
• Our client in the Renewable Energy sector is looking to hire a Customer Service and Sales Manager. By fulfilling the following duties and responsibilities, the job holder will contribute to the growth, success, and positive impact of our client in providing sustainable energy solutions and improving access to electricity in rural and peri-urban communities.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• To be responsible for creating and implementing SOPs to ensure consistent and efficient customer service and sales processes throughout the organization.
• To oversee and optimize the customer service and sales processes, ensuring that they are streamlined, effective, and aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
• To work with the executive committee to develop the sales strategy for the business: i.e., Collaborating with the executive team, you will contribute to the development of a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and targets.
• To be responsible for executing the sales strategy, which includes staffing the sales team, developing marketing collateral, and establishing customer engagement processes to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
• To coordinate and manage promotional activities to raise awareness of Standard Microgrid’s initiatives, products and services. This may involve organizing events, conducting marketing campaigns, and leveraging various communication channels to reach the target audience.
• To track and analyze sales data, evaluate performance against targets, and generate reports to provide insights to the executive committee. This will help inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
• To nurture relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
• To provide leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. This includes setting sales targets, conducting performance evaluations, and providing training and development opportunities.
• To ensure that all customer service and sales activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, promoting a culture of integrity and compliance within the organization.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, sales or marketing roles. Experience in the renewable energy sector will be an added advantage.
• Should have experience in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
• Must have experience in managing customer relationships, handling enquiries and complaints, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Local Languages. Cultural awareness will be an added advantage.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers, team members, and executives.
• Should have proficiency in analyzing sales data, to make informed decisions and develop effective sales strategies. Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and solve problems creatively.
• Should have the ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure successful project execution.
