JOB DETAILS:

Meharry Medical College Global Health seeks a Data Management Specialist (DMS) who will primarily be responsible for maintaining facility based data in relation to Company Indicators and MOH demands. He/She will work closely with the MOH data team, partner’s data team and will report directly to the Company Senior Data Management Specialist (SDMS). The data management specialist will be responsible for developing SOPs, dashboards, MER for data capturing and utilization, correcting data using approved methods. The DMS will also coordinate with CQI Officers at Meharry medical college global health abd HIV clinical services supported sites to manage continuous quality improvement (CQI). .
  Job Responsibilities:
• Managing and maintaining paper and electronic records gathered at the site of operation.
• Organizing, verifying, uploading, and analyzing facility data at the site of operation.
• Plan and implement software upgrades by maintaining, evaluating, and improving process efficiency of the system.
• Provide regular feedback and technical assistance to HQ and Implementing Partners.
• Work closely with the supervisor to provide technical assistance and training for staff and implementing partners.
• Works closely with the Senior data management specialist to develop protocols to measure results and identification of problem areas for sites visited.
• Maintains files and records in the HIV/AIDS treatment data collection and reporting processes specific to the activities and programs for which he/she is responsible.
• Facilitate the process of working with the facility leadership and the Pharmacy Staff to track the care and coordination of ART clients through the care coordination model and to improve testing of clients for early diagnosis in the care continuum.
• Ensure narrative reports are submitted to the Project Director in country or designee and to Meharry in a timely manner.
• Maintenance and understanding of all SQL-based documentation which details data cleaning, standardization, validation, and analytical procedures
• Maintenance and ongoing analysis of data quality as well as tracking.
• Maintenance of logs which contain information on all users which have access to certain data sets

  Job Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of working experience managing active data for HIV care.
• Diploma in Health Services Management,
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Related Training or a related field will be added advantage
• Full Grade Twelve Certificate with Credits or Equivalent
• Demonstrable experience with SQL Server
• Demonstrable experience in writing advanced SQL queries and statements.
• Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with continuous quality improvement (CQI) data

• Diploma in Health Services Management,
