JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose: The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance and operational support of our entire portfolio of databases. Maintain reliability, stability and data integrity of the databases. Provide support in the administration, backup, integrity and security of various SQL and Oracle databases.

Key Outputs & Responsibilities: –
• Perform Bank EOD activities
• Provide desktop support to MFZ staff
• Perform system support related activities from time to time
• Optimize database systems for performance and reliability
• SQL Server and Oracle database Installation, Upgrades, Migrations and Configuration
• Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes to support application development.
• Perform database backups, disaster recovery planning, and ensure data integrity and availability.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and incidents.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure efficient database queries and application integration.
• Implement and enforce security and access controls to protect sensitive data.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration.
• On-call requirements to ensure 24 x 7 support of database operations

Qualifications & Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Higher level diploma or I.T related degre
• Oracle Database Administrator Certification will be an added advantage
• Minimum two years of increasingly responsible experience in databases
• Knowledge in Flexcube version 12.0.2.0 and above
• Experience of administering SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2017 databases and beyond
• Experience of administering Oracle Database 11g enterprise and beyond
• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and as well as working with Linux, Solaris server OS.
• Must be willing to learn and grow
