Job Description

• Collaborate with divisions and general directorate to assess and evaluate the existing database technologies of the institution;
  
• Prepare the evaluation report and related budget;
  
• Communicate to the management the evaluation reports of the database technologies and advise on the way forward;
  
• Ensure the approval of the budget for implementation of the proposed technologies;
• Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions;
  
• Develop database utilities and automated reporting;
  
• Create shell scripts for task automation;
  
• Create, test and execute data management languages;
  
• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements of database;
  
• Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency;
  
• Communicate to the management the new database technologies.
  
• Monitor systems and platforms for availability;
  
• Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency;

• Conduct and oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover;

  Job Profile
  Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Senior Engineer, Communication Technology, Information Management System,Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, GIS or A0 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, GIS with a
  Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (NET),LAMP/WAMP Framework orMCITP are an added advantage
  Key Technical skills and knowledge required
  
• Certification in A+, N+, Linus+ and MCITP or MCSE, MCSA, CCNA and Server;
  
• Knowledge in network equipment debugging technology, hacker attack and defense technology and bandwidth management;
  
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem solving skills;
  
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives;
