JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
This function carries out the day to day Customer Support activities of the Information Technology Infrastructure and Networks Department through the delivery on-site and remote Technical support to End-Users and ensuring that all Staff have the right Tools and Peripherals to operate efficiently and effectively in order to meet existing and future Strategic and Tactical requirements for the Bank to realize its Strategic Goals. It focuses on ensuring the delivery of all aspects of Customer Support through Asset Lifecycle Management, Implementation, Administration, Monitoring, Optimization, Data Protection, Backups, Migration and Support. organization.
Under the supervision of the Head Information Technology Infrastructure and Networks the following are among the
Job Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Support:
1. Responsible for the provision of on-site and remote Technical support to End-Users across the entire Bank.
2. Ensuring staff have the right Tools and Peripherals to operate efficiently and effectively.
3. Attend to User Service request regarding Hardware, Software and Networking and utilize Remote Access support where applicable.
4. Perform Lifecycle Management for Workstations, Operating Systems and Applications.
5. Research, Design, Deploy, and test Desktop Hardware and Windows operating systems.
6. Ensure Creation, Updating, Testing and Deployment of Enterprise Images and associated Software Packages.
7. Assisting in the Selection and Recommendation of Standardized Equipment selection.
8. Maintain an up-to-date Inventory of Workstations, Devices and Peripherals.
9. Recommending and implementing System and Technology Solutions and Improvements.
10. Participate in the ongoing maintenance of Computers, Printers and Peripheral Devices.
11. Keeps immediate Supervisor well-informed of Activities, Results of efforts, and Problems identified/potential problems and recommends corrective actions to immediate Supervisor.
12. Attend to User queries and provide Solutions in timely and adequate manner.
13. Ensure Implementation and Compliance to Audit and Legislative requirements.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
2. Professional: As required by Function
3. Minimum Experience: 2 years working experience across function technologies.
4. Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
5. Excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud Solutions services and Network concepts.
6. Certifications Desired: ITIL or COBIT 5 or Windows Certification or CompTIA A+
