JOB DETAILS:
Geodrill Zambia, an Exploration Drilling company situated in Chingola, in the Copperbelt, would like to invite applications for the position of Drill Rig Mechanic. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Specific activities may include boiler-making, engine rebuilds, light vehicle and truck mechanics, auto electrical repairs and installations, general fitting and field fitting.Inspect and monitor work in progress and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Assist with monitoring inventory of all Drill Rigs and Moveable equipments.
• Travel to sites as required to undertake maintenance activities.Complete job record report sheets for all Drill Rigs and other equipment maintained.
• Ensure compliance to safe work policies and procedures and maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Adherence to site safety policies and procedures.
• Minimise parts wastage.
• Undertake preventative maintenance as per the preventative maintenance program.

Job Skills:
• Sound knowledge of all aspects of equipment repair including boiler-making, Hydraulic Exploration Drill Rigs engine rebuilds and Maintenance, light vehicle and truck mechanics, auto electrical repairs and installations, and general fitting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills Sound mechanical knowledge of drilling equipment & trouble shooting.
• Must have a Driving license.

Job Experience Requirements:
• Must have a Grade 12 Certificate.
• A diploma in Heavy equipment repairs, a higher diploma will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the drilling/exploration industry and working with multipurpose drill rigs.
• International experience an advantage.
