JOB DETAILS:

Position Summary:
The position holder will be responsible to ensure delivery of all assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner while taking charge of the safe use and roadworthiness of the organization vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ADMINISTRATION
In liaison with the Administrative Assistant:
• Drive the vehicles of the organization to all assigned places in Zambia.
• Make sure that the vehicles assigned to you are kept in good condition, ensuring periodic proper service and daily checks for coolant, oils, well functional tires etc.
• Detect and report faults and malfunctions in the vehicles and ensure that they are not used when a repair is needed.
• Ensure that vehicles assigned to you are clean, taking care of the body paint and interiors of the car and washing them regularly.
• Ensure the vehicles are not overloaded.
• Check on expiry dates of road license and insurance cover and seek renewal in good time.
• Always keep and use the vehicle logbook during use of the vehicles.
• Record all refueling in the vehicle coupons and submit the coupons every Friday to the Administrative Assistant for recording of fuel usage and get them back into the vehicles every Monday.
• Report immediately any accident involving the vehicles of the organization.
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned by your supervisor or by the officer to whom the vehicle is allocated.
SAFEGUARDING
• Ensure to conduct yourself in a manner that safeguards the interests and rights of fellow employees, community adults and children, partners, volunteers, and all others you will interact with in the course of duty.
• You will be expected to protect the image of the organization through good representation during interactions with external parties in the course of your duties.

OTHER DUTIES
As assigned by the Administrative Assistant

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• G12 Certificate
• Certificate/Knowledge in basic mechanics
• A valid driving license.

Experience:
• A minimum 5 years’ experience in driving
• Experience in basic mechanics
Skills and Knowledge:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and write.
• Sense of cultural diversity.

Working Conditions, Requirements:
40 hours per week from Mon-Fri excluding public holidays as declared by government.
Location: Kabwe
Selection Process:
