Job Title: ECE & Primary School instructional Techology officer
Level: 5.II
Reports To: Director of Digital Content and Instructional Technoligy Development Unit

Job Description
• Accountable to the Director of Digital Content and Instructional Technology Development Unit;
• Responsible to develop, troubleshoot, and test data for e-Learning projects;
• Identify regional, and international materials that can be adapted and localized for distribution in ECE and primary schools;
• Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards;
• Work with leads on the project to determine coding tasks and schedule requirements
• Work with all relevant ECE and Primary Curricula Officers to align digital content with REB curriculum:
• Responsible to help develop online study material for Secondary level, all Subjects;
• Review the content and add their valuable suggestions to make the product more effective;
• Responsible for designing instructional and assessment strategies for the learning;
• Manage a team of Instructional Designers and review, mentor and train the resources.
• Work collaboratively and communicatively as part of the ICT in education department;
• Collaborate with stakeholders involved in digital content production for secondary schools to assure alignment with national curriculum and relevant ICT in education policies;
Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (NET), LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage.
Key technical skills & knowledge required:
• Knowledge of Rwanda's ICT Policies and Strategies as well as National ICT Policy;
• Deep Understanding of information technology and telecommunications;
• Capacity to research and analyse technology problems, issues, and program requirements;
• Knowledge of computer hardware/software technologies;
• Interpersonal skills;
• Communication skills;
• Negotiation skills;
• Problem solving skills;
• Analytical skills;
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English or French; knowledge of all these three (3) languages is an advantage.
