Job Title: ECE and primary Schools Digital Content and Development Engineer
Level: 4.II
Reports To: Director of Digital Content and Instructional Technoligy Development Unit

Job Description
• Accountable to the Director of Digital Content and Instructional Technology Development Unit;
• Administer training and staff development programs for in use of ICT in instruction for teachers;
• Design teacher development and training programs and materials for ECE and primary subjects and train teachers;
• Develop ECE and primary school technology instructional strategies and work plans;
• Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards;
• Actively participate in team working on project by making recommendations on how to improve product quality and reliability, as well as group productivity.
• Work with leads on the project to determine coding tasks and schedule requirements;
• Collaborate with ECE and Primary subjects teacher training officers to provide relevant digital instructional materials for teachers;
• Responsible to help develop online study material for ECE and Primary teachers to any Subjects;
• Identify possible partners and opportunities for use of instructional technology to improve ECE and primary school instruction and professional skills of teachers;
• Responsible for designing instructional and assessment strategies for the learning;
• Manage a team of Instructional Designers and review, mentor and train the resources.
Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (NET), LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage.
Key technical skills & knowledge required:
• Knowledge of Rwanda's ICT Policies and Strategies as well as National ICT Policy;
• Deep Understanding of information technology and telecommunications;
• Capacity to research and analyse technology problems, issues, and program requirements;
• Knowledge of computer hardware/software technologies;
• Interpersonal skills;
• Communication skills;
• Negotiation skills;
• Problem solving skills;
• Analytical skills;
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English or French; knowledge of all these three (3) languages is an advantage
