JOB DETAILS:
• The incumbent will be reporting to the Chief of Party, the Economic Strengthening Coordinator is responsible for implementation of the community based economic strengthening and CBOs capacity building activities under ECAP III activity in his/her respective districts. He/she is responsible for program level economic strengthening and capacity building interventions planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of district coordinators.

Main duties
• Provides input and participates in the project implementation plan and strategy design for the district level economic strengthening and capacity building.
• Coordinates and produce periodic economic strengthening and CBO capacity building reports and performance monitoring of activities at district level.
• Coordinates the implementation of community based economic strengthening and CBOs capacity building activities in the district.
• Ensures all OVC, OVC caregivers and out of school AGYW have the opportunity to access required economic strengthening service. such as village savings groups and financial literacy trainings, business skills & entrepreneurship training.
• Works with Community Service and Facility Linkage Manager, Social Protection and GBV Service Manager, and District coordinators to ensure layering of multiple services within VSL groups as part of the care group model.
• Coordinates and integrates the HIV and AIDS, economic strengthening, CBOs capacity building activities at district level with other health and nutrition programs.
• Provides on-going management, supportive supervision and mentorship to District coordinators and CCWs on economic strengthening activities.
• In collaboration with the district coordinators identify economic strengthening opportunities for vulnerable adolescent girls, OVC and care givers at District level.
• Organizes and facilitates training and capacity building of Community Case Workers (CCWs) and CBO.

Qualifications
• Degree in Economics, Agriculture Economics, Development studies or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of senior level experience in economic projects in a technical capacity; preferably including several years with USAID-funded projects.
• Demonstrated applied skills in economic strengthening methods and innovations.
• Demonstrated written, presentation, communication and organisational skills in English.
• Demonstrated leadership working with other technical experts in economic strengthening communities.
• Demonstrated hands-on practical experience setting up and managing Savings groups and other economic strengthening activities.
• Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills, including oral presentation
