ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR – ZAMHATCH FEEDMILL MPONGWE X (1)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A technical supervisory role whose jobholder is accountable to the Senior Factory Supervisor for carrying out repair, maintenance and installation work, on plant / machinery and equipment and according to standard practices and procedures. The post holder carries out the following:
1. Procures job request’s involving the breakdown of machinery / equipment in the factory, physically checks same and diagnoses faults to determine cause, and extent of damage and material requirements to repair.
2. Organises controls and provides the requisite co-ordination, technical guidance / direction and instructions in all repair, maintenance and installation work of plant / machinery and equipment as well as physical checks to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications and safety standards.
3. Undertakes repair work involving stripping, checking, removing / replacing worn out parts and checking general electrical conditions of same in order to ensure continuous operations and achieve production targets.
4. Executes planned maintenance schedules by carrying out servicing/ maintenance work, involving the changing of electrical components/fixtures and checking electrical condition of same in order to prevent electrical failure and tear and enhance prolonged life.
5. Carries out test runs of machinery / equipment, repaired / maintained to determine quality of the workmanship prior to handing over the same, to the superior for further tests and finally hand over to the end user.
6. Prepares lists of spares / materials required and submits same to superior and completes Job Cards reports on all work carried out highlighting work done. Spares / materials consumption, downtime etc. for the attention of the superior.
7. Train, motivates and develop subordinates in line with company manpower policies through superior on the job training to enable same acquire knowledge and skills required.
8. Will be responsible for maintaining the quality and feed safety management system

Qualifications and Experience
1. 5 acceptable `O` Levels
2. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
3. 3 years’ relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies required
1. Ability to use mechanical tools.
2. Interacts with superior and subordinates, requiring tact.
3. Completes proforma type documents.
4. Mathematical calculations for tolerances, calculations of quantities, etc.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
