JOB DETAILS:
Overview
Main duties of the driver include:
• Driving the Ambassador and other employees in a safe and correct manner to and from meetings and events in Lusaka
• Driving staff in a safe and correct manner to different locations within Zambia
• Collecting employees and external guests from the airport and facilitating their stay in Zambia
• Planning for and advising on safest road, fuel supply etc. ahead of and during trips
• Maintenance of the Embassy vehicles
• Assisting diplomatic staff with all their contacts with Zambian authorities, including Road Transport and Safety Agency Zambia, Zambia Department of Immigration, Zambia Revenue Authority etc.
• Assisting diplomatic staff with acquiring a Zambian driver’s licence.
• Administrative tasks
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Required competences:
• Driver’s license
• Documented experience as a driver
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Good interpersonal skills including punctual, loyal, representable, and discrete.

Merits/added advantages:
• Advanced driver’s training
• Experiences from working as a driver at an Embassy or in an international organisation
