JOB DETAILS:
Job summary:
The position of engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction activities of the solar project and ensuring that the project is completed within the specified timeframe, budget, and quality standards.
Reporting to: project director

Key responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance to specifications and regulations;
• Implement quality control processes and conduct regular inspections;
• Monitor project and adjust accordingly;
• Coordinate delivery of right quality and quantity materials and ensure proper storage;
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for a safe working environment;
• Attend to technical and logistical issues that may arise at any stage of the project;
• Provide regular feedback on project status to stakeholders and address any concerns promptly; and
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Minimum qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably electrical/electronics or electrical /mechanical engineering;
• Proven experience in solar construction and management;
• Familiar with relevant construction codes and regulations;
• Demonstratable project management and organisation skills;
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skill;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Must have at least 6 years relevant experience;
• Must be a member of engineering institute of zambia (eiz); and
• Having a driving license will be an added advantage.
