Risk Governance And Reporting
• Facilitate planning, designing, implementing, and integrating an overall risk management and compliance program/framework for the organization.
• Assess the company’s risk appetite and calibrate risk-mitigating activities accordingly.
• Act as a Risk Prime for WV Zambia and liaise with the Regional Risk Prime on ERM activities.
• Participate in Board Audit and Risk Committee Meetings quarterly.

Risk Culture And Capacity Building
• Support senior leaders to drive a risk culture across the organization and ensure the effective operation of enterprise risk management.
• Oversee the Whistleblower Hotline implementation, printing promotional materials and promoting them in staff meetings and other online platforms.
• Facilitate Anti-Corruption training for Suppliers during Supplier Symposiums organized by the Business Support Services unit.
• Conduct preliminary reviews and investigations as commissioned by the National Director and issue reports of risks identified and recommendations.
• Record, report, and review any reports concerning any irregularities or potential losses within World Vision.

Support To Operations
• Implement the Risk management Framework in WVZ to effectively manage all risk exposures (opportunity, hazard, uncertainty, etc.) that pose an internal or external threat (political, economic, financial, market, international) to the business, its people, and assets.
• Manage compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and standard policies and procedures.
• Build a risk-aware culture in the WVZ by providing ongoing education and raising awareness.
• Manage the WVZ Ethics Management program to ensure that the company conducts business ethically and socially responsibly.
• Provide recommendations to enhance the company’s Risk and Compliance Management’s roadmap, policy, framework, methodology, and system.

Risk Systems, Processes, And Control
• Build the required risk management processes, tools, and templates, including facilitating risk identification, assessment, and reporting across the WVZ’s departments and regions.
• Develop and maintain the risk monitoring and reporting structures, including reporting dashboards, risk appetite framework, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and modeling/quantifying key risks.
• Lead the implementation of ERM systems, including Ethics Point and Local Whistleblower Hotline, assess their effectiveness, and implement initiatives to strengthen the program.
• Provide leadership in facilitating and advising all departments in assessing risks and designing and updating functional risk registers and mitigation plans for their departments.
• Conduct grant risk assessments in line with donor formats before submission of all grant proposals or concept papers and monitor implementation of grant risk mitigation plans.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
• Bachelor of Law degree, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• A master’s degree or an additional professional qualification in Governance, Quality Assurance and Risk Management
• Good understanding of Country’s legal and statutory environment is an added advantage
• Ability to think logically and systematically and have good organizational skills
• Ability to write excellent reports with minimum supervision
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in corporate Risk, Compliance and Governance preferably related to not-for-profit organizations
• Extensive experience and understanding of the development sector
• Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent experience in project proposal writing
• Ability to discharge duties politely with respect for authority.
• Be intelligent and alert
• Should possess a sound knowledge and ability to communicate in English.
• · Should bear an unblemished record in excellent conduct and character.
• · Legal contract management experience preferred, but not required.
• · Demonstrated leadership ability.
