Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to join our team in Solwezi. The EHS Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining safety protocols, conducting comprehensive safety training, and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations at FQM’s mining site.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and enforce EHS protocols across the mining site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees.
• Respond to and investigate EHS incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies on environmental standards and regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of EHS procedures and incidents.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety, preferably within the mining sector.
• Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Knowledge of Zambian EHS regulations and best practices in the mining industry.
