Description
• Dangote Cement Zambia, is seeking an Environmental Officer to join their construction industry team.
• As an Environmental Officer, you will work with the construction team to ensure that environmental issues are properly addressed. You will also have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team that is committed to excellence.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures for construction sites.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential environmental hazards and concerns.
• Develop and deliver environmental training programs to all construction personnel.
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
• Track and report environmental performance and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Work with the construction team to develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
• Lead environmental impact assessments and prepare reports.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• At least five years’ experience in environmental management or related field.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
