JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Equipment Sales Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing sales representatives in your region or territory, providing excellent customer service to clients, and generating leads in the construction industry and agriculture sector for your sales representatives. Improve customer relationships with heavy equipment dealers and retailers and driving sales goals and policies for the sales team and collaborating closely with the marketing department and senior management.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Develop assigned territory, implements sales plans to grow business and maintain current customer base.
• Responsible for retention of existing customer base with continued sales growth.
• Source and grow sales with new business opportunities within assigned market area/territory.
• Be abreast of the truck market and competition to provide comprehensive market intelligence to Management to support decision-making.
• Provide input into the planning of sales targets for Trucks/Commercial Vehicle/Forklifts brand, growth and profitability targets, and targets for customer interaction.
• Responsible for the sales and marketing of rental and purchase of equipment
• Sources new business opportunities; develops new accounts and maintaining accounts from previous year
• Achieve targets set for Trucks/Commercial Vehicle/Forklifts sales and maximize efforts to achieve through frequent customer interaction and maintaining professional relationships.
• Interact with all decision makers and influencers and offer and proposal is in line with customer needs and expectations, which must be clearly clarified.
• Take the lead in the preparation and presentation sales contracts/lease agreements
• Prepare sales plans, sales reports, expense, and daily call reports
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through frequent customer contact throughout the lifecycle of the vehicles sold
• Formulate bids on new and existing jobs and projects
• Review new accounts opened by sales representatives team to ensure all required information is complete
• Review and provide input on target client opportunities while ensuring alignment with overall account strategy
• Take the lead in generating leads and nurture client relationships
• Review inventory, upcoming lease expires, and fleet management and rental return damage summaries
• Contribute to overall company drive for success and growth through sharing of sales wins and insights, marketing opportunities, customer feedback
• Build collaborative partnerships by delivering more value than the competition; superior customer service, responsiveness, promotional support, and true understanding of each channel’s business building opportunities

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Engineering or any Business studies
• Must have a minimum of at least 5-7 years working experience in the
Sales and Marketing of Trucks/Commercial Vehicles/Forklifts
• Must have a minimum of 3-5 proven success in B2B sales
• Automotive aligned discipline will be an added advantage.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of heavy equipment manufacturing
and maintenance so that you can provide practical customer service
• Demonstrated ability to lead Sales Representatives and drive revenue growth
• Good Knowledge and experience in supply chain management will be a plus
• Proven sales ability; strong cold-calling, qualifying, prospecting, and presentation skills
• Must have a Well-developed customer base (i.e Mines, Transport Companies and Government Ministries)
• Must easily excel in a fast-paced work environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook and Excel
• Must be willing to travel at short-notice
• Maintaining a valid driver’s license (required)
