Expression of interest for the supply of clean and renewable energy and climate-smart technology solutions
The Non-governmental Gender Organizations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) is an umbrella organization coordinating and strengthening member Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Faith Based Organisations and Community Based Organisation (CBOs) addressing gender and development through capacity building, networking, communication and advocacy. With more than 35 years of its existence, NGOCC has grown from being a co-coordinating body to a focal point for women and girl’s issues in Zambia and a voice for the women’s movement. In the recent years, NGOCC has been viewed as a torchbearer in advancing the works aimed at achieving gender equality. NGOCC currently has a membership of 103 organizations spread across all the 10 provinces and a presence in 64 districts of Zambia.
The provision of alternative energy to women is prioritized by NGOCC as it contributes towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of providing affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for all by 2030 (SDG7), ending poverty (SDG1) and promoting gender equality (SDG 5). NGOCC envisions that provision of modern clean energy technologies in form of solar lights will help reduce environmentally destructive livelihood activities such as burning lantern lamps (kerosene).
As such, under Climate Change Mitigation and Resilience Pillar 4, NGOCC seeks to provide clean energy technology options to NGOCC Member Organisations. In actualizing this, NGOCC intends to procure clean energy technologies for lighting to women and girls in its operational areas. The preferred supplier should have outlets in Mansa, Mongu/Kaoma, Kalomo, Monze, Choma, Sinazongwe, Kapiri-Mposhi and Rufunsa/Chongwe. NGOCC, therefore, invites sealed bids for the supply of the following technologies and services:

Equipment
1. 200 Solar lights (20 per site)
Services
1. After-sales service
2. Awareness raising on the use of the technology.

Requirements
1. Company Profile stating Company Directors and Contact person.
2. Copy of VAT Certificate, Tax Clearance Certificate and TPIN Certificate.
3. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation or Registration and other statutory bodies where applicable.
4. Brochures of the available products and their prices (to serve as basis for selection)
5. Evidence that the institution has experience in providing the above-mentioned technologies and services.

Sealed Bids clearly marked “expression of interest for the supply of clean and renewable energy and climate smart technology” should be deposited at the address below no later than Friday 17th June, 2022.
