Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stockfeed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.
Finance Business Planning Manager – Head Office (X1)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
• Analyzing, designing, and implementing business process improvement changes across departments and divisions, preparing detailed project plans with timelines and budget.
• Supporting and standardizing processes across the divisions, implementing best practices.
Responsible for managing the financial planning and forecasting process, and delivering insight through management reporting and analysis ensuring that this evolves to meet the needs of the business and provide leverage and support to the Senior Management Team to holistically monitor the P&L, optimize working capital cycle, and implement initiatives to effectively meet business objectives.
• Standardizing processes across the group by implementing best practices across the group.
• Reviewing and analyzing Divisional Throughputs recons, challenge business head as and recommend efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Implementing change management strategies, ensuring stakeholders and teams are trained and adjusted to the new process.
• Co-ordinating preparation of medium-term plan and budgets including providing divisions with analytical support to enable them prepare and submit quality budgets within agreed periods.
• Providing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports – management Accounts with analysis, cash flow reports, with explanation for variances to budget and prior periods reports.
• Analyzing month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.
Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
• Analyzing the business performance to come up with ideas to improve performance and including those as key performance indicators (KPIs) in monthly reporting packs.
• Reviewing and analyzing inventory and margin reports, conducting research and performing analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability
Qualifications
• Full ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or Equivalent
• At least 5-7 years of budgeting and payroll experience
• 3 years of supervisory/management experience.

• Quick learner and works well under pressure
Strong business acumen
Strong knowledge of Excel – modelling experience preferred
