About the role
• We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Fitter to be based at our client site in Kansashi in Zambia.
• The primary purpose of this role is to provides maintenance and reliability support for the mobile fleet equipment and plant to deliver sustainable revenue and effective cost management.

The Fitter – Asset provides maintenance and reliability support for the mobile fleet equipment and plant to deliver sustainable revenue and effective cost management.

What you will be doing
• Scheduling servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance;
• Ensuring the maintenance of MMUs and fixed plant conform to SAP PM;
• Knowing and adhering to relevant procedures, statutory requirements and codes (AEC, ADG,MPU, AS2187);
• Continually reassessing risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required
• Providing Product Pump rebuild
• Mentoring of staff and local service contractors in the support of Orica’s Operations;
• Supporting local area Field Support Technician Provides onsite and phone based technical support. Assists Lead – Asset, Supervisor – Maintenance and Territory Managers as required;
• Providing feedback to Lead – Asset on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions Compiles Alerts and bulletins for continuous improvement and corrective action tasks.

What you will bring
• Qualified as a Fitter
• Generally up to 2 years experience.
• Technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)
