JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
• This function is responsible for leading and conducting investigations into cyber-related frauds. The function is further responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, investigating incidents, and implementing proactive measures to safeguard the bank against digital fraud threats.

Under the supervision of the Fraud and Investigations Head, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:
Cyber Fraud Investigations:
• Lead and execute investigations into cyber-related fraud incidents.
• Employ advanced forensic techniques and IT knowledge to collect and analyze digital evidence.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine the scope and impact of fraud incidents.
• Pursue fraud recoveries arising from investigations as well as insurance claims.
• Document and communicate investigation findings to management

Digital/ Computer Forensics:
• Utilize cutting-edge digital forensic tools and methodologies to collect, preserve, and analyze electronic evidence.
• Ensure the secure handling of digital evidence in a legally admissible manner.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging forensic technologies and cyber threats.
• Present expert evidence in court where need be

Incident Response:
• Develop and implement incident response plans to mitigate cyber fraud incidents.
• Coordinate with IT and security teams to identify and address vulnerabilities exploited by fraudsters.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of incident response measures.

Fraud Risk Assessment:
• Conduct comprehensive fraud risk assessments related to digital banking services and platforms.
• Identify and evaluate potential fraud threats and vulnerabilities in the bank’s digital infrastructure.
• Assist in the development of risk response action plans.

Fraud Awareness and Training:
• Provide training and awareness programs to staff on cyber fraud prevention and detection.
• Keep employees informed about emerging cyber fraud trends and tactics.
• Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness within the organization.

Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare detailed investigation reports, case summaries, and forensic examination reports.
• Ensure all findings, conclusions, and recommendations are well-documented and accessible.
• Collaborate with legal teams and law enforcement agencies as required.
• Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.

Requirements
Qualifications And Experience
• Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s Degree will be added advantage.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or similar certifications.
• Extensive experience of at least five (5) years in cyber fraud investigations and digital forensics in a financial institution or cybersecurity firm.
• Proficiency in digital forensic tools, such as EnCase, FTK, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of IT security, cyber threats, and incident response.
• Very good report writing skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
