JOB DETAILS:
Duties
• The incumbent is assigned to the General Service Motor Pool Office and reports directly to the Motor Pool Operations Supervisor. Provides all administrative/clerical support to Motor Pool to include development and analysis of reports and documents, submitting requests, reviewing forms, the development and maintenance of computer programs, and the drafting of correspondence and documents.
• On an incidental basis, s/he may operate a passenger motor vehicle, light truck, or other vehicle to transport Embassy personnel, official visitors, and cargo within Lusaka or around Zambia, and maybe required to work different shifts.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
• EXPERIENCE: Two years of administrative work experience is required.
• JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must know local traffic laws and regulations, patterns, basic vehicle maintenance. Good knowledge of office administration is required. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records is required. A working knowledge of general logistics and transport management is required.

Education Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma

Evaluations:
• LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge of English Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
• Good working knowledge (Written and spoken) of at least one local language (Bemba/Nyanja) is required
• SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A Valid Zambian Class C driver’s license is required. Must be proficient in the MicroSoft Office suite of applications with the ability to use MS Word and MS Excel. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to deal tactfully with Motor pool customers is required. Basic key boarding and good numerical skills (for time and attendance processing) are required.

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Lusaka, Zambia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
