It shall be entrusted with supervision, monitoring and to ensure the implementation of issues relating to the promotion and protection of Natural Resources in programs and activities of all national institutions.

Job Description

• Design solutions to support value addition in quarry product especially in ceramics industry, glass factory, fertilizer plant;
  
• Design solutions to support value addition to minerals ores like tin smelting;
  
• Participate in designing standards for mineral exports;
  
• Provide advice on the type of industrial mineral operations possible in specific areas and strategies on appropriate investment;
  
• Identify the required government support and coordinate it especially the Public, Private Partnership (PPP);
  
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the director
  Job Profile
  A0 in Gemology, Mineralogy or A1 with proven practical skills
  Key technical skills and knowledge required:
• High analytical and problem solving skills;
  
• Knowledge of mineralssector;
  
• Decision making skills;
  
• Excellent communication skills ;
  
• Very effective organization skills;
  
• Team working skills;
  
• Computer skills;
  
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
