JOB DETAILS:
1.0 Job Purpose
• To generate and update all available geological and mining information in form of plans, sections, profiles and technical reports into GIS and CAD Software as required by the Company.

2.0 Key Result Areas And Principal Accountabilities
Key Result Areas
Principal Accountabilities (Main Duties)
Mining Cadastre Information Management Systems (MCIMS)
• Make technical drawings as required from time to time.
• Digitize all available technical drawings and reports at ZCCM-IH Archives and from any other source relating to mining and exploration activities.
• Prepare technical monthly and quarterly reports
• Maintain an orderly inventory (Catalogue) of technical drawings and reports.
• Compile and generate technical drawings for various technical reports as may be required from time to time.
• Undertake field work as and when required
• Integrate / enhance application of various datasets

Mining Licences and Mineral Rights
• Adequately engages the Ministry of Mines to identify highly prospective base metal tenements, tenements for other minerals as well as oil and gas tenements, acquire licences for the target tenements and hold mineral rights on behalf of the government
• Acquire GIS information on licences from GRZ for prospective areas and avail such areas to the Technical Directorate for further works to be carried out.
• Ensures compliance with legislation pertaining to mining licences and mineral rights

Reports
• Preparation of reports in line with agreed timelines for internal use.

2.2 Essential/Desirable Qualifications/Experience
a) Professional Qualification:
Grade 12 Certificate
Degree in Mining, Surveying or equivalent
Professional Membership with EIZ
b) Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
2 years’ experience in a similar position

Communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical skills
Problem solving skills
Computer skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
Valid and clean driver’s licence
