JOB DETAILS:

The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Overseeing staff management across workshops, optimizing human resource allocation, managing schedules, monitoring leave to ensure smooth operations, and controlling workshop budgets for cost efficiency.
• Developing and enforcing SOPs for vehicle servicing, detailing service types, steps, and timings, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Identifying training needs, conducting regular training sessions, maintaining certification records, and ensuring workshop staff are continuously improving their skills.
• Planning routine maintenance, coordinating major repairs, and maintaining a calendar for tracking service schedules to minimize downtime and ensuring timely completion.
• Preparing monthly reports on workshop performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), setting goals for staff, and recommending improvements based on data analysis.
• Assessing major repair needs, collaborating on procurement, and overseeing repair projects to ensure cost-effective and timely execution.
• Implementing performance systems, conducting appraisals, addressing underperformance, and recognizing high performance to motivate staff.
• Resolving staff conflicts promptly and effectively while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Developing and monitoring annual budgets, forecasting resource needs, and plan for future staffing, equipment, and all requirements
• Ensuring adherence in the workshops

The Required Qualifications are:
• A full grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within a commercial vehicle workshop
• Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and repair processes
• Member of EIZ

The Skills Required for this Role Include:
• Excellent leadership and people management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in budgeting, planning, and scheduling
• Strong analytical skills and experience with KPI tracking and reporting
• Able to Build effective teams, attracting and developing talent, utilizing potential
