The Technical and Vocational Teachers' College Management Board is inviting applications for the following position:
HEAD OF DEPARTMENT IT. .

Main Duties
• Develop strategies to further the future development of the IT department
• Prepare departmental budgets and reports Design training programs and workshops for college staff Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the institution Manage IT staff by assisting to recruit, train and coach employees, communicate job expectations and appraise their performance Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time Teach and help design ICT related courses Ensure the improvement of connectivity for all end users.

Qualifications/Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits including Mathematics and English Bachelor in Computer Science Master of Science in Computer Science or similar field will be an added advantage
• Comprehensive understanding of software development, Database administration and networking Affiliation to the ICT Society of Zambia Minimum five (5) years experience in relevant field
