JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview:
Maintain and repair earthmoving equipment, responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximize reliability and functionality of equipment, well versed in complex mechanical/electrical systems on the equipment and have an excellent problem solving abilities. Must be a good communicator to provide advice to the immediate supervisor, must be safety conscious at all times

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect machine/ equipment engine, transmission, differentials, and final drives
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components on mobile equipment
• Diagnose issues timely and accurately.
• Inspect machine/ equipment computer and electronic systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance work such as replacing fluids, lubricating parts and clean equipment parts or tools to repair or maintain good working order
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and conduct routine maintenance works
• Inspect frontend loaders, mobile cranes, excavators, tractors, light vehicles and folk lifts to diagnose issues accurately
• Clean equipment parts or tools to repair or maintain good working order and keep the working environment clean
• Repair or replace dysfunctional parts and fix issues e.g. leaks on equipment
• Provide accurate estimates on (cost, time, effort) for repair or maintenance jobs

Skills & Personal Attributes
• Outstanding manual dexterity with excellent hand-eye coordination
• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions against accidents
• The ability to work under pressure
• Team player

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in heavy equipment repair
• Driving License
