• We require a housekeeping supervisor whose responsibilities include (but not limited to) training and motivating team members in the hospitality industry.
• The successful candidate will be the head of a team to ensure the hotel is kept to a high standard including checking all areas for cleanliness, tidiness, bedrooms are maintained and ready for guest check in.
• To be successful in this role, they must have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities. Daily housekeeping checks need to be done in order to ensure the team runs smoothly and that guests are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
• Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Oversee staff on a daily basis, be a hands on the job example to the team
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas to maintain hotel’s clean and comfortable look.
• Establish, educate and elevate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock
• Participate in large cleaning projects as required
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
Requirements and Skills
• Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in a hotel for a minimum of 3 years
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organisations
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Excellent organisational and team management skills
• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• High School Diploma (Hospitality degree an added advantage)
• Fluent in English (both written and oral)
• Must be familiar on how to use a computer including Microsoft Office
