Job Description
To advise business and employees on Labour related issues, highlighting the risks to the business and employees alike whilst ensuring that fair and equitable employee relations outcomes are achieved. Creating and implementing strategies to promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing among employees in a workplace.
• Implement and cascade ER & Wellness Strategy: Provide advice on the specific relevance to the strategy.
• Ensure the ER Policies, Disciplinary Code and procedures are updated and implemented.
• Provide Specialist ER and Wellness advice on policies, process and programs (including IR, ER and Wellness).
• Motivate line managers to enhance their skills levels to manage ER in their environments.
• Conduct and/or facilitate face to face workshops for Management Committees (BU and disciplinary).
• Represent the Bank in external dispute resolution.
• Build relationships with union, manage union expectations and act as key contact within HC.
• Identify initiatives to improve ER in the province, obtain local and group sign off and implement.
• HCBP Support (Employee life cycle management).
• Analytics and Reporting.
• Create and ensure ER model is applied within the Bank.
• Be available for Specialist advice on IR/ER and Wellness policy, process and programmes.
• Manage high risk cases, cases involving senior employees of the Bank, whistle blowing cases and cases where the outcome may be dismissal.
• Act as key contact point for the planning and implementation of ER/IR and Wellness projects.
• Identify initiatives and implement best practices to improve ER/IR and Wellness within the Bank.
• Develop, implement and monitor a tactical and operational HR plan to close identified gaps.
• Partner with line management to create an agile, flexible, responsive and transformed organization.
