Human Resource Manager (1)

General Description
Reporting to the Chief Operating Manager, the overall responsibility for the Human Resource Manager is the implementation of the assigned Human Resources and related policies and procedures in order to ensure that team members are inspired to contribute towards the achievements of the organizations goals.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with University departments and cross-functional teams
• Ability to operate the computer and assigned software
• A proven record in working successfully with diverse populations
• Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
• Proven record of successful supervisory experience in a people –oriented environment
• Strong negotiation skills
• A faithful disciple of the Lord Jesus
• Ability to provide vision and leadership
• Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all branch locations and employees in a team-oriented environment
• Willingness to travel to other campuses and units of the University
• Detail-oriented, efficient and strict when it comes to following NU policies.

Main Duties
1. Responsible for employee recruitment and selection
2. Listens to employee grievances and provides counseling
3. Remains current with changes in human resource and employment law
4. Develops a highly effective orientation program that emphasizes the critical importance and value of welcoming and integrating new employees into the corporate culture with emphasis on the University vision, mission and core values
5. Administer the employee end of probationary period performance evaluation as well as mid-term and end of year employee evaluation.
6. Responsible for the creation and oversight of job descriptions.
7. Maintains up to date HR records and produces relevant narrative and statistical HR reports highlighting employee establishments, separations, additions and disciplinary cases.
8. Maintains the relevant Modules in the OrangeHRM Management System and trains new team members in the use of the system.
9. Performs other tasks as required.
Work and Education Requirements
• Not less that 5 years of broad-based HR experience at middle management level
• Degree in Human Resource
• Masters will be added advantage

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education:
Bachelor Degree
