JOB DETAILS:
Position Description
This position reports to the Group Human Resource Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.

Responsibilities
• Implement provisions of the Collective Agreement and conditions of Employment in the promotions of harmonious employee relations.
• Interpret labour laws to Line Managers and employees.
• Liaise with Management and Union Executive through co-ordination of formal meetings such as Joint management/union consultative meetings.
• Timely submission of payroll inputs and subsequent verification of final payroll.
• Provide support in the implementation and management of all human resource related activities.
• Initiating timely recruitment of staff and the placement of appropriate employees to ensure efficient operations.
• Labor Requisitions are correctly signed, and prior approval is given before starting the recruitment process.
• Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
• Coordinating all on boarding and staff orientation programs
• Maintain up-to-date employee records with respect to vacation, training, promotion, exit, etc.
• Develop draft notices/ advertisements to publicize vacant positions (subject to approval by the Group HRM).
• Update organograms (add new employees and remove leavers).
• Work with employees to understand their training and development needs.
• Providing counselling on policies and procedures.
• Provides performance management advice to staff and management.
• Assists supervisors and staff with understanding and using the performance appraisal system.
• Maintain records of completed trainings and update employees training records accordingly.
• Timely updating weekly and monthly reports of manpower statistics and other employee related issues for management decision making.
• Drive Reward and Recognition program for the business.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Group Human Resource Manager.

Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or social sciences and business administration related discipline.
At least Two (2) years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution.
Knowledge of employment legislation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
Must be a paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
